CATACHRESIS Reader
How does one find meaning, and how does one know when they’ve
found the right meaning? Is there such a thing as the correct read of a text? In the first
collection of writings printed under the CATACHRESIS READER banner, we have
no theme, no guidelines, no concern with a prescribed goal, just the connections that
occur between here and there, between this text and that text. Artists and writers were
brought together to make connections and to say something. It is in the spaces of
among, within, and elsewhere, as Yves Laris Cohen would say, that we find ourselves in
throughout this volume, searching for meaning, and finding an abundance.
